Getting There
Citizens Bank Park is located in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex along with Lincoln Financial Field (home of the Super Bowl 52 Champion Eagles!) and the Wells Fargo Center (home of the Flyers & 76ers). There is plenty of parking for those driving to the stadium, which is located just minutes off of 95. The stadium is also easily accessible via SEPTA’s Broad Street Line with the AT&T Station located within easy walking distance of the park.
Phillie Phanatic (& Friends!)
The Phillie Phanatic is the best mascot in baseball (This may sound biased coming from a Phillies fan, so here are just a few sources that agree: Good Morning America, BleacherReport.com, Sports Illustrated, Fox Sports). The Phanatic was also inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame. The Phanatic also authored has a line of books for kids. What can’t he do?!
In 2015 The Phillie Phanatic was also joined by his friends from the Galapagos Islands, the Galapagos Gang. The Gang is made up of Iggy the Iguana, Bessie the Blue-Footed Booby, Sid the Sea Lion, and Calvin the Giant Tortoise.
Food
Philadelphia is famous for their cheesesteaks and there are several options at the stadium. Campo’s Steaks and Tony Luke’s can both be found along Ashburn Alley behind left field.
My personal favorite are the super popular Chickie’s & Pete’s crab fries served with a side of cheese sauce. They can be found along Ashburn Alley and at a few other locations… well worth it to hunt them down!
Kids
Citizens Bank Park features the Phanatic Phun Zone which is located near the First Base Gate entrance. There are also games located behind the outfield sections.
